Tier 1 Investor Visa
In this instance, our client was a Chinese national who wished to come to the UK in order to invest within the UK market. Our client approached us to assist them in making an initial application for a Tier 1(Investor) Visa.
In the process of obtaining the relevant information required for the initial application, our client indicated that they intended to invest in the UK property market. However, the conditions of a Tier 1 (Investor) Visa prohibit an applicant from using their investment funds to purchase property during the period of their visa.
What is Tier 1 Investor Visa
In the UK, an investor must score a minimum number of points under the UK’s points based immigration system. Points are assigned in relation to various financial, linguistic and investment requirements, all of which must be supported by specified documents and evidence.
